How to Use Aloe Vera for your Hair and Scalp

There are multiple different ways that you can use aloe vera. Some of it will be trial and error, as what works for some will not work for others. Feel free to experiment with these three options and see which one creates the most benefits to help your personal hair growth.

Aloe Vera and Honey

Gather the following items:

  • 2 tbsp of honey (any type will do)
  • 5 tbsp of aloe vera gel
  • 3 tbsp of coconut oil
  • A shower cap

Once you’ve gathered these items, mix the honey, aloe vera gel, and coconut oil until smooth. Now that you have a mixture together, massage this into your scalp, then focus on working it the rest of the way down your hair. Take a little time to give the most damaged parts of your hair a little attention with the mixture.

After all of your hair is covered, take the shower cap and place it over your head and wait 25-30 minutes. Give it a good rinse with cool water, then shampoo. Your final step is conditioner to help lock in moisture.

If you utilize this mixture once a week, the coconut and honey will begin to provide a superior conditioning combination which will seal the moisture int your hair shafts.

Aloe Vera and Castor Oil

Gather the following items:

Once you’ve gathered these items, mix the castor oil, fenugreek powder, and aloe vera gel together until smooth. Now that you have a mixture, apply to your scalp and hair. Focus on your roots and tips, as these areas will need the most attention.

After all of your hair is covered in the mixture, take the shower cap and place it over your head. Go to bed with this mixture on. You might find it useful to wrap a towel around the cap for additional help keeping the cap from shifting. When you wake up in the morning, give your hair a good rinse with cool water, then shampoo. Your final step is to finish with conditioner.

Utilize this mixture once or twice a week to help boost hair growth and add volume. The oil paired with aloe vera will help stimulate regrowth and will also help to curb hair fall.

Aloe Vera and Coconut Milk

Gather the following items:

  • 4 tbsp coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 4 tbsp aloe vera gel

Once you have gathered these items, combine them until you get a smooth mixture. Massage it into your scalp and work it through until all your hair is saturated. Leave it on your hair and in the open air for about thirty minutes, then rinse your hair with cool water. Wash with soap and finish with conditioner.

If you use the mixture once a week, you’ll see how much nourishment your hair receives. The combination of coconut milk with aloe vera will help add nutrients to your scalp, and the coconut oil allows the mask to penetrate deep into your hair shafts.

Give it a try!

Try one, try them all. See which works best for you. No matter which you try, you’ll see the benefits that aloe vera can provide to help hair growth.
